The Development of a Mechanical Engineering Company
The Calvörde site was originally established in 1981 as a manufacturing facility for forestry equipment. Following German reunification, the company was restructured in 1990 and transformed into a mechanical engineering business, which has continued to grow and evolve ever since.
A major milestone was reached in 2004, when the first spot welding systems for Siemens were designed and manufactured. Since then, SM Calvörde has developed into a trusted partner for special purpose machinery across a wide range of industries.

A modern machine park forms the foundation for the precise manufacturing of our machines and systems. High-performance CNC machining centers, turning machines, as well as extensive steel fabrication and welding capabilities enable the efficient production of complex components and assemblies.
DMG MORI DMU 210 P
The DMU 210 P enables the precise machining of large and complex components for special purpose machinery applications. Its advanced 5-axis technology allows demanding parts to be manufactured efficiently and with exceptional accuracy.
MAZAK QT MB 250
The MAZAK QT MB 250 is used for the precision turning of mechanical engineering components. It enables the efficient production of rotationally symmetrical parts with outstanding dimensional accuracy.
DMG MORI DMU 75
The DMU 75 is a versatile 5-axis machining center designed for the precision milling of complex components. It enables flexible and cost-effective manufacturing for a wide range of mechanical engineering applications.
In addition to its core CNC machining centers, SM Calvörde operates an extensive machine park for the precision manufacturing of mechanical engineering components and assemblies.
